Joining the Salesforce community – Continuing Education and Career Development-2

You have several options for finding the right content for you:

  • Join a Meeting: You often search by the city in which you would like to participate in a Salesforce event. There can be many types of events, from Dreamforce and World Tour Events to smaller SF Summits organized in smaller groups – sometimes by companies and sometimes by the community itself. These events will allow you to find different perspectives on the technologies you already know, premieres of new stuff from Salesforce, or people who want to see you and have a drink with you… lemonade! The events can vary in size and location. One of the most important is Dreamforce, which takes place in San Francisco. The event lasts ~3 days, during which you can listen to over 1,500 sessions packed with knowledge. For slightly smaller events, there’s the aforementioned Salesforce World Tour, held in various cities with local partners presenting at their stands, a whole day filled with fantastic lectures and ending with social integration. Such smaller meetings are a chance to meet people in the industry and potential new clients – because it is a brilliant place for generating leads (I’m talking to you, sales department!). The last type of meeting is Meetup events. These are meetings organized by someone from the community or Salesforce partners. They can be for 100 to even 1,000 participants. Recently, the first Polish Dreamin premiered, which took place in Wrocław, organized by Lukasz Bujlo (Salesforce MVP 2023) from Coffee & Force. The event will be held regularly, and I’m inviting you to it. It was full of brilliant lectures, Salesforce partners, and Salesforce enthusiasts. Last but not least, there are smaller events of about ~100 people organized by partners, where lectures are delivered by employees of the partner on various Salesforce topics. Ah – I have not mentioned online events yet! Those happen too. Most often, it’s a day filled with online lectures, where presenters from different parts of the world have their slots to talk about Salesforce technology topics. Phew, I think that’s all of them.
  • Find Groups: These are national or city groups. Just enter your city, and you will find the group that interests you. It looks like the following, where I searched for groups in London for you.
